Stacking the Shelves (10)

This week in books has been completely awesome, most of the books received for review were complete surprises and all came on Monday. There may or may not be more waiting for me at home (I'm at my Dad's house), if there is they will be included in next weeks haul.

Through the Zombi Glass (From Harlequin Teen) - I've already read this one actually because I couldn't resist and loved it. Look out my a review closer to the release date.

The Iron Traitor (From Harlequin Teen) - I haven't read the last two books in The Iron Fey series or the first in this spinoff but I'm still excited to have received this one. Let me know in the comments if you can read this without having finished The Iron Fey.

Fire With Fire ( From Simon and Schuster Canada) - I've heard great things about the first one in this  series, Burn for Burn, so I cannot wait to read that one and then get to this one.

If You Could Be Mine (From HarperCollins Canada) - At the HCC Frenzy event I went to last one the publicists at HarperCollins Canada were raving about this one non stop. Because of that I can't wait to read it even though it different from what I typically read.

A Most Dangerous Deception ( From Thomas Allen and Sons) - This one has a different cover now and is called Palace of Spies. I read about 100 pages of this one already and it's pretty could so far.

Anatomy of a Boyfriend (From Author) - Love the cover of this one and it looks like a cute contemporary.

Anatomy of a Single Girl (From Author) - Same thing applies to this one as Anatomy of a Boyfriend.

The Twice Lost (From Thomas Allen and Sons) - Haven't read the first two books in this series but since it's about mermaids I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

The Elite (Bought) - After finally reading The Seclection I had to go ou and buy this one ASAP. So glad I did because I loved it. Team Maxon all the way!!

Stacking the Shelves (9)

Hi Everyone! I haven't made a Stacking the Shelves post in over 6 months!! Instead of going through all the books I got in that time frame I'm just going to showcase the ones I received in the last week or so.

This week I had the pleasure of attending #Frenzypresents hosed by Hapercollins Canada. It was a blast! While I was there I was given a gift back featuring 2 fall ARCs that yout will see below along with some other goodies as well.

For Review:

Confederates Don't Wear Couture - I haven't read the first book in the series, Pilgrims Don't Wear Pink, but they seem like cute summer reads that I hope to read this summer break.

The Testing - I hadn't heard of this one prior to receiving it in the mail, but it seems like a good dystopian read.

The F-It List - I've actually already read this one and I really enjoyed it despite it being a contemporary novel, look for a review closer to its release date.

Slayers: Friends and Traitors - This is the second book in the series. I still have to read the first but since it's about dragons I'm really excited to dive into the series.

Tumble & Fall - I've heard amazing things about this book and am super excited to read it. I think I'll have to cave and read it ASAP.

One Crow Alone - This is a prequel to After the Snow, again I haven't read the first book so I'll have to get on that.

Altered - I'll really excited to have received this one and am even more excited to see what the final cover will look like.

Midnight Frost - I am a HUGE fan of the Mythos Academy series and cannot wait to see what happens in Midnight Frost after the horrible cliffhanger. This will definitely will be my next read.

Stacking the Shelves (2)

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews that showcases the books that you got last week.

So, I haven't done a post in forever showing off my books. It's been at least a month if not more. Sorry guys, I've been busy doing finale project and a ton of exams that I haven't had the time to sit down and make a Stacking the Shelves post. So below is the stack of books that have been added to my shelves in the last month of so.

Bought:

Insurgent - Of course like everyone else I just has to purchase a copy of this. I read it and LOVED it and my review is up if you're interested on my thoughts on it.

City of Lost Souls -I started and read most of this book, but put it down because it's been a bit of a let down... I was so excited for this one and it feel a bit short.

For Review:

Venom -( From Penguin Canada) This book sounds awesome and has a amazing cover. It doesn;t come out until late October so I won't be reading it too shortly, but soon enough.

Rift (From Penguin Canada) I've alrady read this one actually and it was pretty good. Not as great as Nightshade, but it does have a better main character which is a relief.

Betrayed (Spencerhill Press) Haven't heard too much about this book, but it's about angels and those are some of my favourite books so I hope to like this one.

Rapture  (Random House Canada) I've only read the first 2 in this series, so I'll have to read Passion before I can get to this one. I also haven't been a fan of this series, so I guess we'll see how much I like the ending.

Mister Death's Blue Eyed Girls - (Thomas Allen and Sons) haven't heard of this book before but from the back of the book the concept interests me.

Pilgrims Don't Wear Pink - (Thomas Allen and Sons) This sounds like a fun and cute read that I hope to read over the summer.

Enchanted - (Thomas Allen and Sons) I got  an ARC of this earlier in the year and I've already read and review it on the blog, but it's nice to have a gorgeous finished copy for my shelves.

Underworld - (Scholastic Canada) Haven't read any book by Meg Cabot before, do I'll have to read Abandoned first before I get to this one. I love Greek mythology though.

Immortal City - (Penguin Canada) Heard mixed reviews on this one, looking forward to forming my own opinion.

I also got some arts and craft books from Thomas Allen and Sons for some reason and I've actually started making some of the things in the book and it's really fun.

Rivals and Retribution - (Raincoast books) I'm a huge fan of this series and am really looking forward to see how it all ends.

Last Rite - (TOR teen) Have yet to read this series, so I have to get on that. As you can see I got 2 copies, so possible giveaway?

Eve and Adam - (Macmillan) Super excited to get an ARC of this book. I love Michael Grant and excited to see their take on the genesis story. Girl makes boy? Awesome!

When We Wake - (Hatchette Canada) This doesn't come out until March 2013, so I definitely wont be reading any time soon. It does sound like a great book though.

Soulbound - (Penguin Canada) Started reading this one and so far so good.

Black City - I've already read this one and really enjoyed it!

This week most of my books are for review but a couple I picked up at the library and I bought my first book in 2012. Yes, I already know that it's a shame that I have only bought one book so far this year. I plan on buying 2 more in the coming weeks, Insurgent and City of Lost Souls!!!! I actually found a books too :P
