Summary:

In the magical underworld of Victorian London, Tessa Gray has at last found safety with the Shadowhunters. But that safety proves fleeting when rogue forces in the Clave plot to see her protector, Charlotte, replaced as head of the Institute. If Charlotte loses her position, Tessa will be out on the street and easy prey for the mysterious Magister, who wants to use Tessa's powers for his own dark ends.
With the help of the handsome, self-destructive Will and the fiercely devoted Jem, Tessa discovers that the Magister's war on the Shadowhunters is deeply personal. He blames them for a long-ago tragedy that shattered his life. To unravel the secrets of the past, the trio journeys from mist-shrouded Yorkshire to a manor house that holds untold horrors, from the slums of London to an enchanted ballroom where Tessa discovers that the truth of her parentage is more sinister than she had imagined. When they encounter a clockwork demon bearing a warning for Will, they realize that the Magister
Tessa finds her heart drawn more and more to Jem, though her longing for Will, despite his dark moods, continues to unsettle her. But something is changing in Will; the wall he has built around himself is crumbling. Could finding the Magister free Will from his secrets and give Tessa the answers about who she is and what she was born to do?
As their dangerous search for the Magister and the truth leads the friends into peril, Tessa learns that when love and lies are mixed, they can corrupt even the purest heart.

Review:

Where to start? First off I love all of Cassandra Clared writing The Mortal Instruments series is my all time favourite. Clockwork Prince definitely will not disappont fans of Cassandra Clare. As you all know if you have read Clockwork Angel it left off on an aweful cliffhanger. Don't worry because Clockwork Prince picks up from where it left off.

One out of many things I love about this series is the world, the world and all the creatures that live among it are all totally amazing, and mesh together to make a fantastic book. I also love the character in both of Cassandra Clares series, each character stands out from eachother and all of them are people I would want to be friends with. Tessa, Will and Jem are put to the test in Clockwork Prince, they have a traitor under their roof, there is a major love triangle that Tessa has no clue what to do with, and Mortman is still on the loose and will do whatever he can to get Tessa. Most Heroines when faced with all of this would want to give up and crawl into bed and wait for everythign to blow over. That's what I like about Tessa the most she's in the front lines of things along with the Shadowhunters and is ready to fight her own battles.

I would say that I was also emotionally tested while reading this. You will finally find out the secret that Will has been hiding from everyone, and it will make you love him so much more and make you want to cry and hug him. I also feel bad for Jem because of his illness but not nearly as mush as Will <3 The writing and plot line of Clockwork Prince and as tope notch, and are probaly the best qualities that Cassandra Clare show in writing, so never fails to write and amazing story. AHHH I'm fan girling, I just love this book so much, nothing I say or do can justify it. Just please read it if you know whats good and pure in the world. Also you don't have to start off reading The Mortal Instruments, but I wouldr recommend doing so because I feel that tou get a better introduction into the amzing world, and to me it's always better to read them in the order they were published. On a side note, The Infernal Devices focus more on warlocks and demon, where The Mortal Instruments on Vampires and Werewolves, and both of course on Shadowhunters.

Fantasic world, character, plot, and writing. Whats not to love? 100% garantee that you will love this book. If you don't I give you premission to yell at me for lying to you! :P But I'm sure I wont be getting any angry mail. Read this, that is all!

AMAZING <3

  2. After being cruelly rebuffed by the painstakingly handsome, Will, Tessa is left in a state of confusion and dismay. Will is a self-proclaimed playboy who has no intentions of pursuing any kind of lasting romantic relationship with Tessa. He pushes her away for reasons unknown to her but are gradually revealed over the course of the novel. His advances toward her run hot and cold. Undeniably physically attracted to him, she is unable to reconcile his changeable behavior into something she would want to endure on a regular basis.
