Summary:

To save the life of the boy she loves, Jacinda did the unthinkable: She betrayed the most closely-guarded secret of her kind. Now she must return to the protection of her pride knowing she might never see Will again—and worse, that because his mind has been shaded, Will’s memories of that fateful night and why she had to flee are gone.

Back home, Jacinda is greeted with hostility and must work to prove her loyalty for both her sake and her family’s. Among the few who will even talk to her are Cassian, the pride’s heir apparent who has always wanted her, and her sister, Tamra, who has been forever changed by a twist of fate. Jacinda knows that she should forget Will and move on—that if he managed to remember and keep his promise to find her, it would only endanger them both. Yet she clings to the hope that someday they will be together again. When the chance arrives to follow her heart, will she risk everything for love?

In bestselling author Sophie Jordan’s dramatic follow-up to Firelight, forbidden love burns brighter than ever

Review:

First off I love this series, Sophie Jordan has created a creature, the Darki's, that are so unique as so interesting, and the writing and story leave nothing not to love. If you have read Firelight you will know that it ended on a major cliffhanger, sadly Vanish ends on the same note, making me want more now! The story picks up right after the events at the end of Firelight. I really loved getting to see what life is like inside the Pride rather than in the wilderness hiding from them, it was very interesting.

Sophie Jordan's writing is so well done that it is if the magical world of the Draki is real. I wish! In firelight the was instant love, usually I don't like it but I find that it works in this series. I am totally voting on Cassian, but I doubt that will happen. Jacinda seems like shes going to go for Will. Some super awesome events happen in this installment ( the cover will make sense once you read the first couple of chapters.) Jacinda is a great lead heroine and has no traits that are not enjoyable. She's definitely a strong character who depends on herself and doesn't need a man to protect her.

This book has everything that you would want to look for in a book. It has a magical world, that is so unique and fascinating. The writing is flawless and just adds to the awesomeness that is Vanish. It has a good love triangle, strong and lovable characters. Descendants from dragons and a completely gorgeous covers. What more could you want? I highly recommend Sophie Jordans Firelight series, it's one of my favourites at the moment.

  4. It was a great book. Just like the first a different approach than what has been coming out lately. Vamps and Wolf! its too over stimulating. Though this is actually excellent for young reads. Start with the first book though. YOu won't understand if you don't.
