Logan Quinn was trying to kill me. My Spartan classmate relentlessly pursued me, swinging his sword at me over and over again, the shining silver blade inching closer to my throat every time. A smile tugged up his lips, and his ice-blue eyes practically glowed with the thrill of battle...

I’m Gwen Frost, a second-year warrior-in-training at Mythos Academy, and I have no idea how I’m going to survive the rest of the semester. One day, I’m getting schooled in swordplay by the guy who broke my heart—the drop-dead gorgeous Logan who slays me every time. Then, an invisible archer in the Library of Antiquities decides to use me for target practice. And now, I find out that someone at the academy is really a Reaper bad guy who wants me dead. I’m afraid if I don’t learn how to live by the sword—with Logan’s help—I just might die by the sword...

This series is seriously amazing, Kiss of Frost was an awesome sequel to Touch of Frost. it captivated me with the use of mythology just as much as the first book. Though it was a sequel that I really enjoyed it wasn't as amazing as Touch of frost, but still very good.

Now that we know the secret of where Gwen's powers really come from the story has a lot more room to put Gwen in live or death situations. Which overall makes a book more enjoyable to read. At the beginning of the story I think that too much time was spent reminding readers of the events that took place in Touch of Frost, about 60 pages or so. In the narration Gwen is also very repetitive which got a bit annoying after a while to read. Other than that there is only one other reason why Kiss of Frost lacked a bit, I found it quite easy to guess who the person was that was trying to kill Gwen. There were some minor hints that when put together is not hard to guess.

I think that is possibly more action and adventure in this book, and a bit more romance. The creativity of the use of many different types of mythology still blows my mind (in a good way). There is great character development, mainly between Gwen and Daphne and Gwen and Logan. Also I just really love books that take place on a ski resort, some really dangerous but interesting stuff always seems to take place there. Logan. I just love him to bits, learning about his feelings and intentions in Kiss of Frost was so sweet. I can't wait to see where it leads in Dark Frost. I expect some steamy seens to come. If you have read and enjoyed Touch of Frost as much as I did then you won't want to miss this electrifying sequel.

  1. I'm a big fan of Estep's adult series so I really must start her YA series too. Great review! Lovin' the cover.

  2. While I didn't love Kiss of Frost as much as I did Touch of Frost, I have to agree that this series has a lot going for it. I was a bit put off by Logan's playboy antics in this book--though maybe that was because his signing the mattresses of the girls he slept with was mentioned too many times. Still, I expect things will only get better from here.

Also, I totally agree that too much time was spent rehashing the first book. I was about to give up when things finally started moving forward.

    1. I agree on your comment on Logan. It was a put off, but getting to know him in the book I just don't see how he would do that or a rumour would get spread that he does.. I still love him though <3

    2. I was put off by the mattress signing too, but I tell myself that it was just a rumor with NO basis in truth. :)

  3. I loved this book! I would hug Estep if I ever meet her for creating a story that stands out in YA. I love that Gwen is in a constant fight for the things she wants and that she doesn't get the guy right off the bat. Hell, two books in and she still doesn't have the guy yet. I think this is where YA should be headed!

I'm glad you enjoyed this one.

    Thanks for the great review.
