Summary:

After bouncing from foster home to foster home, Magdalene Mae is transferred to what should be her last foster home in the tiny town of Silver City, New Mexico. Now that she's eighteen and has only a year left in high school, she's determined to stay out of trouble and just be normal. Agreeing to go to the prom with Bridger O'Connell is a good first step. Fitting in has never been her strong suit, but it's not for the reasons most people would expect-it all has to do with the deep secret that she is a shape shifter. But even in her new home danger lurks, waiting in the shadows to pounce. They are the Skinwalkers of Navajo legend, who have traded their souls to become the animal whose skin they wear-and Maggie is their next target.

Review:

I loved this book so much, I was really looking forwards to it's release and it didn't disappoint. I really enjoyed Maggie Mae as a main character, shes doesn't think that her appearance or love is the most important thing. Don't get me wrong there is romance in the book but it's not the focal point of the book. For the first little book it's wasn't dealing with much of the shifter part of the book mostly on character development and character introduction. But once the shifter part came in it was so much different than those I've read before, I can't say too much or I'll spoil which I don't want to do! I find that Navajo myths and lore are very fascinating and there is so much you can do with it in a story line, and Bethany Wiggins did a great job of using it.

I found that the writing and story drew me in, so I was able to finish the book in a matter of a day. The story seemed to be very well thought out, and the were a lot of surprises throughout the story. I really loved the relationship between Maggie and Bridger, the had a amazing friendship in the background that they were able to build t become more then friends. For me the ending was the best part it was climatic and so cute, and it totally seems like there could be a second one. I hope so!

Please give this books a try it's so well done and has something in it for everyone! Bethany Wiggins is also a debut author so show some love and give it a try, I know you will be able to find something you like in it!
