Summary:

Calla has always welcomed war. But now that the final battle is upon her, there’s more at stake than fighting. There’s saving Ren, even if it incurs Shay’s wrath. There’s keeping Ansel safe, even if he’s been branded a traitor. There’s proving herself as the pack’s alpha, facing unnamable horrors, and ridding the world of the Keepers’ magic once and for all. And then there’s deciding what to do when the war ends. If Calla makes it out alive, that is

Review:

I will confess I did not enough reading Wolfsbane at all so I was a little hesitant to read Bloodrose, I was really hoping it would be as good as Nightshade. Good news for me, it definitely was. Bloodrose is an action packed, emotional roller coaster and is a fantastic end to the series. For all those people who are team Ren such as myself, you will be pleased to here that he has a large role in Bloodrose.  I would recommend having a box of tissues on hand while reading, you may very well need them during certain parts.

What really stands out about this series is the world that Andrea Cremer has created, the world of the Gaurdians, searchers, and the keeps if a very fasinating one to say the least. I get drawn into ever time I pick up the next insallment, sadly for me and everyone else this is most definitely the last. Shay being the chosen one mus venture into an epic advenure along with the rest of the pack and searchers to find the last three parts to complete the weapon he will use to defeat his "uncle". If you think this is the only place that you will see action you are wrong, there is a whole bunch begining to end making it an nail bitting read.  I love how Ren re-entered as a primary charcter becuase in Wolfsbane he wasn't featured very much at all. I think that he and Calla are the perfect match, he is meant to be an alpha. Shay was made into a Gaurdian and I just don't get the feeling that he's an alpha, he just can't keep up with Calla. As to who Calla picks in the end I will leave that a complete a surprise to you.

I'm not a huge fan of Calla as a character, I am much more fond of the side characters. She makes the choice of picking a mate much more difficult than it has to be, one minute she'll want Shay and the next Ren. In these moments with either Shay or Ren it's as if she has put the other aside until she has a steaaming moment with the other. this goes on in a cycle and really gets on my nerves. Besides that I think that Calla's personality is too animalistic, I get that she's a wolve and all but so is the rest of her pack and they don't act the same way she does.

This book is filled with sacrifice, love, and action that will leave you in a jumble of emotions. I'm still trying to digest the ending, while it was interesting and unique, I just wished it ended on a different note (you'll know what I mean when you read it). This story is well planned out, has one steamy love trianngle, and concludes in a jaw dropping way. I would recommend reading this right away since I know many of you are curious to see who Calla ends up with. If you have not read this series, what are you waiting for? This series and author aren't getting all this praise for nothing. This will appeal to fans of paranormal romance, Bree Despain, and I think Harry Potter fans.

  2. Oh gosh, I'm so scared to read this by now! After all the reviews I've come across lately... It's hard to know what to think. But all have mentioned the ending so I'm definitely scared about it. I'm glad you recommend it though, since I've come across extremely disappointed people... Great review!

  3. I have also read a lot of reviews with people extremely disappointed in the ending. I don't know if it's all because of who she picks or that it just leaves everything top open or it is sad or what but I'm scared! LOL I don't actually mind Shay or Ren. I think Ren is uber hot but I kind of think she will end up with Shay which is still fine cause I know they both really love each other too.

  4. lol. I’m irritated with Calla’s indecision too! and I laughed when you said that Calla’s personality is too animalistic, and yeah she’s a wolf, but so is the rest of her pack, but they don’t act the same way she does. YOu just nailed it! haha.

I can’t wait to read it! It comes out tom! :)

  5. Ren will always be my favourite character from this series and my only comfort is that he didn't end up being the mate of a horrible girl who lied to him and used him. I don't recommend this series to anyone as the characters who get the happy ending are those who least deserve it, and it is completely unsatisfying to read such an awful conclusion to what was a promising beginning.
