Summary:

For months part-angel Clara Gardner trained to face the raging forest fire from her visions and rescue the alluring and mysterious Christian Prescott from the blaze. But nothing could prepare her for the fateful decisions she would be forced to make that day, or the startling revelation that her purpose—the task she was put on earth to accomplish—is not as straightforward as she thought. Now, torn between her increasingly complicated feelings for Christian and her love for her boyfriend, Tucker, Clara struggles to make sense of what she was supposed to do the day of the fire. And, as she is drawn further into the world of part angels and the growing conflict between White Wings and Black Wings, Clara learns of the terrifying new reality that she must face: Someone close to her will die in a matter of months. With her future uncertain, the only thing Clara knows for sure is that the fire was just the beginning.

Review:

If you have read my review for Unearthly (Here) then you know that I loved it and was really looking forward to the sequel, Hallowed. Right from the start I was drawn in my Cynthia's beautiful writing style, and I just love the characters and world that she was able to create. Hallowed in no way let me down, it was a great sequel to the amazing Unearthly.

Based on the summary I was totally expecting a emotional read and I was prepared. But I can say that I was not prepared enough, Hallowed is the only book that made me tear up, ever! I think the reason this happened for the first time is because Cynthia Hand's writing is just so easy to read and it is truly beautiful. When mixed with the plot of Hallowed it makes me emotional and completely drawn into the book. The love interests both Tucker and Christian are both amazing and I don't known how one girl will ever be able to choose between them. I was team Tucker but now.. I have switched to Christian.

Something that will really appeal to fans of the Unearthly series is all the Revelations revealed in Hallowed. Oh. My. Gosh. were there a bunch that will have your jaw dropping, eyes tearing, and maybe just blow your mind. There is no way that his book is unenjoyable, Hallowed can be represented by a simple mathematical: Awesome plot + Beuatiful writing = AMAZING

I don't know much more that I can say to you to make you interested in this series/book, but I'm going to start blabbing if I continue. If you like angel books or mythology thats different then anyother you've read before and has tons of action cramped into a printed format than this is the book for you. Trust me when I say that Cynthia Hand and her Uneathly series are amazing, a new favourite for me in fact. Do yourselves a favour and read this, please!

  2. Seriously?! I love Tucker! I have this on my Nook to read, but I'm so hesitant because I don't want to switch teams.

But Christian was kinda awesome in Unearthly...
