Summary:
It starts with a whisper: “It’s time for you to know who you are…”
Violet Eden dreads her seventeenth birthday. After all, it’s hard to get too excited about the day that marks the anniversary of your mother’s death. As if that wasn’t enough, disturbing dreams haunt her sleep and leave her with very real injuries. There’s a dark tattoo weaving its way up her arms that wasn’t there before.
Violet is determined to get some answers, but nothing could have prepared her for the truth. The guy she thought she could fall in love with has been keeping his identity a secret: he’s only half-human—oh, and same goes for her.
A centuries-old battle between fallen angels and the protectors of humanity has chosen its new warrior. It’s a fight Violet doesn’t want, but she lives her life by two rules: don’t run and don’t quit. When angels seek vengeance and humans are the warriors, you could do a lot worse than betting on Violet Eden…

Review:
Fallen Angel books are one of my favourite in the paranormal genre to read, Embrace was no exception. It is an action packed novel that has a totally unique twist on fallen angels that I have never seen before. Throw in two super hot guys, a forbidden love, and a kick-ass (quite literally since she kick boxes) heroine and you have an absolute fantastic read. Embrace has it all...and more!
As I just mentioned above the mythology behind the half angels is very interesting and it is 100% unique. It just may be my favourite back story behind the idea of angels I've seen so far. Embrace is an amazing story, the story telling is extremely well done and the wriing is very descriptive and leaves readers with nothing that they can't imagine in their heads. Violet is a very strong main character, she wants to protect herself even though she has two hot boys who are more willing to do so. In comes Lincoln and Pheonix, Lincoln is Violet's trainer and she has had a cruch on him for a while, Pheonix is he dark and mysterious guy that enters the picture after Violet's 17th birthday. While reading the book it was very hard for me to choose a team, they both betray Violet in the book and when this happen I would be on the other giys team. They both are equaly attractive and have great personalities. As of right now I'm Team Lincoln, beacuse I love the whole forbidden love thing.
Right from the beginning Embrace gets right into the action, throughout the whole book their is never a dull moment. Near the end Jessica throws in a huge twist into the story leaving a few unanswered questions that I cannot wait to see where this leads to. I am countinf down the days until I can get my hands on a copy of Entice. I think that Embrace will appeal to a lot of people, for the girls you have a very romantic part of the story and a steamy love trianlge. For guys you have a strong character that you can respect and enough battle and blood that many of you tend to enjoy. I loved Embrace and I hope you all do to!
If you come back tomorrow (February 27th) you can see my post in the Embrace blog tour which has a guest post from Jessica Shivrington about the Angel Pecking order in Embrace.
Great review! You had me at interesting back story. So many angel books nowadays come up with some sort of half-arsed explanation, so that makes me want to read this all the more. :) And I love the cover. All the smokiness and bright colors are just so gorgeous.
