Summary:

"I've left some clues for you.
If you want them, turn the page.
If you don't, put the book back on the shelf, please."

Lily has left a red notebook full of challenges on a favorite bookstore shelf, waiting for just the right guy to come along and accept its dares. But is Dash that right guy? Or are Dash and Lily only destined to trade dares, dreams, and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations across New York? Could their in-person selves possibly connect as well as their notebook versions? Or will they be a comic mismatch of disastrous proportions?

Review:

This is the perfect book to read curled up on the coach during the holiday season. With it's christmas setting and super cute plot and romance this is a book that is book was a great read. This is the first book I have read by these authors and I truly loved the way that they can alternate characters and chapters, one their own they are amazing authors but together it made for a great experience.

Lily's way of meeting a boy is interesting to say the least, and anyone crazy enough to do her dares she leaves in the book it the right guy for her. With Dash and Lily doing the dares I kind of connect it to an online dating site because they're learning things about each other and acquiring feeling based on the info they learn but still have not met and don't know what each other looks like. But with the dares I feel like it's a more personal, in a way they use it as a journal, and because of this I think they can really learn to love each other without meeting face to face. They have shared something that they wouldn't share with anyone and that means they are putting trust in one another.

The writing styles were different, but they made in work in a could way. It made each characters point of view more distinguished, which I liked. Lily is the funny and sarcastic one and Dash is the quite reserved one. Both very unusal in a good way! The part that really spoke to my heart though was that both Lily and Dash were having a crappy christmas and they made it more fun by participating in these dares that took them all over the city of New York, and in doing this, feeling these new emotions they have made the most memorable Christmas possible. The Christmas they found love.

This book is great for Christmas season/winter and I would say this book would appeal more to girls, and maybe guys depending on what type of books that you like to read. It is heavily influenced by the romance, and chic lit genres. You will be amazed at how 2 authors with 2 different writing styles can work together and the truly amazing super adorable story that they wrote. That is Dash and Lily's Book of Dares. It's a book about finding love in the most unexpected places. Come on in a note book by dares? How unexpected but cute.
